Storyline:
Josh Kovaks is the manager of a high-rise condominium in New York. He is close to all the tenants, especially financier Arthur Shaw. One day Shaw is arrested by the FBI for fraud. Josh thinks it's a misunderstanding that can be resolved, but later he learns that the employees' pension fund - which he asked Shaw to handle - is gone. When one of the employees tries to kill himself, Josh's views of Shaw change. He goes to see him and loses his temper, and his job. The FBI agent in charge tells him that Shaw might walk, and recovering the pension fund is unlikely. She tells him that it's been rumored that Shaw has $20 million lying around if he needs it in a hurry. Josh thinks he knows where it is, so with two other fired employees and an evicted tenant, they set out to get into Shaw's penthouse to get the money. But they realize they need the assistance of someone who knows how to steal, so Josh asks an old acquaintance named Slide who he knows is a thief to help them.

This movie is a must-see. It was hilarious. There were numerous times in the movie where all of us were about to fall out of our seats from dying laughing. It had a serious nature to it. It was mostly very funny. I was shocked at the ending. A very clever movie with a great story line. You must see it! It will leave you gasping for air.

I saw a preview of Tower Heist a couple of weeks ago, I imagine that the final editing might cut a few scenes. I love to laugh and never expect plausible scripts from a comedy, I'm in it for the laughs and Tower Heist delivered big time! Impressive all-star cast worked very well together, good chemistry, wonderful character development as the embezzled hotel employees plot to recover their retirement savings from a Ponzi scheme con artist, with help from a small time criminal, played by Eddie Murphy. Beautiful New York City location scenes, including fall colors in Central Park during the Thanksgiving Parade, this is a big budget comedy that spared no expense. The movie was well paced with a great score, and the plot and characters were engaging and humorous. Nearly any comedy reaches a point of improbability, I won't spoil the plot for you, but the entire film is very well produced and funny. Suitable for all ages, nothing scary (aside from the ugly truth of Ponzi Schemes).

I had low expectations for this film, because Eddie Murphy has not made a good film in awhile, but I was really impressed. This was a good movie!

Tower Heist started off a bit slow but quickly stepped up the pace once there was a plan of action. Great performances by pretty much all the actors especially Eddie, Gabourey, and Tea'. I rate this a must see movie!!!

The plot of this movie reminds me of all the Wall Street scandals where top level executives took advantage of their employees pensions and company money. In fact it hit close to home and was a vague reminder of how powerful CEOs can be, almost reminiscent of the Bernnie Maydof case. I love the comedic humor Eddie Murphy provides, and Gabrielle Sidebye continues to amaze me with her acting abilities.
